Wroxeter and Attingham IV

I say "four" but that's a guess.  I'm not sure how many times we've actually done our combined Wroxeter/Attingham day out, but it's probably more than four.  We visited here last September with Grammy.  Today, it was Grandpa, Auntie Abigail, Nanny, and Grandad's turn to join in the family fun.

Unlike most of our previous Wroxeter/Attingham days out, this one was grey and overcast.  Light rain followed us out of the Black Country but eased off after we arrived in Shropshire.  The sky brightened somewhat and the lack of rain was such a blessing!

After picnicking at Wroxeter, we drove to Attingham.  Grandpa, Auntie Abigail, Nanny, and Granddad visited the house. Dan and I took the four kids and did one of our favourite ever National Trust walks, around the grounds of Attingham.  We walked in a wood carpeted with snowdrops, through the deer park where we spotted pheasants and climbed trees, and there finally glimpsed the herd of fallow deer that the park is famous for.  Lefty took many photos of the deer, and the deer photos below are his.

On the way back to the house to find the others, Coo suddenly stopped and grabbed my hand. "Look, Mummy!  A heart-shaped puddle!"
